SHARE INDIA was recognised and awarded as Global Tuberculosis (TB) elimination champions, 2019 on World TB Day by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the meaningful contributions to end TB. Contributions of SHARE INDIA towards ending global TB includes,

Airborne infection control (AIC) assessments
SHARE INDIA, in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, has established an innovative airborne infection control (AIC) unit that conducts healthcare facility assessments for compliance with AIC practices and provides mentorship for proper and effective implementation of AIC interventions to prevent transmission of TB in healthcare facilities. The SHARE INDIA team has assessed AIC activities in over 110 healthcare facilities in Mumbai and provided support to over 1000 healthcare providers on AIC measures.

e-NISCHIT
SHARE INDIA, along with India's National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease (NITRD), Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), CDC, and the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), led virtual e-NISCHIT (electronic National Initiative to Strengthen and Coordinate HIV-TB response) ECHO clinics. They educated healthcare providers from antiretroviral treatment (ART) centers on HIV-TB co-management. The initiative reached approximately 1500 health care providers in 115 ART centers around the country in 25 interactive sessions.

Award for oral presentation of PrEP among Key Population
